JUNIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Prasad & Company LLP is seeking a full-time Junior Staff Accountant to join our team.

Position Responsibilities

-Preparation of compilation working papers and financial statements for private entities in a variety of businesses

-Assistance with other client services, including audit and review engagements

Preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns

Qualifications

-Previous public practice experience would be an asset

-CPA candidate (the firm is a pre-approved CPA training office)

-Ability to work in both a team environment and to work independently as required



SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Prasad & Company LLP is seeking a full-time Senior Staff Accountant to join our team.

Key responsibilities:

-Completion and review of financial statements and working paper files for Audit, review and compilation engagements

-Completion and review of corporate tax returns

-Mentorship of junior staff and CFE writers

-Review various government remittances including HST, Payroll tax etc.

-Personal tax returns

-T4 and T4A preparation

-Preparation of accounts reconciliations, A/P, A/R, invoicing and billing

-Work with other members of the team to cycle bookkeeping for a wide variety of clients

-Completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting

-Preparation and filing of HST returns, Payroll, EHT and WSIB remittances

-Preparation of ROEs

Expectations:

-Advanced knowledge of ASPE, CAS and Canadian review standards

-Demonstrated progressive career within another public accounting firm is a must

-Team player and excellent communication skills

-Strong self-starter with strong organizational, analytical and time-management skills

-Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

-Knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, JazzIT and Profile is an asset

A Mississauga based Health Benefits firm is seeking an In-Charge Bookkeeper to report directly to the Owners. Candidates with Quickbooks experience and Trust Accounting is preferred.
